Omega’s who tirelessly work on various projects at the order of the council and personal research breath quietly as he takes a gulp of his coffee. Bitter and sweet, he wryly smiles before his smile goes back into a stoic expression facing the stack of paper he still needs to grade. Scratches of a pen flow through each paper with grace and vigor determined to finish his work for a future break that will be filled with books and tea. But unfortunately his door slammed open as a feminine groan against the state of Omega’s office, and a chuckle reverberated into the room which turned into a laughter as the person started to lose air.

“Dang it. I lost the bet” the feminine voice sulked before handing a sack of coins toward the dying laughter. “Ha! My treats for food later. Condolences honey.” The masculine voice said with a simper, “With my money you mean…” feminine blurted out with the taste of disgust at the idea. Omega finished the paper he was on sigh tiredly casting his gaze up toward the invader that disturbed his peace. “Alpha… Pneuma… What pleasure do I have to see you both so excited this evening…” Omega’s stern voice echoed toward the two individuals, “It’s nearly six, and you haven’t even eaten all day.” Alpha said, explaining their motive. “Yeah… and our chefs aren’t around to make us food for dinner.” Pneuma jokingly said and with a follow up.“And please… drop the formality, Glykerios… where among friends.” Omega sighs at his close friend’s words, one might even say the trio of them are as close as family. “Fine. Any more nagging from the both of you would drive me insane.” He stepped away from his table, giving himself some slight stretch that cracked every bone in his body causing both Pneuma and Alpha to revolt in disgust hearing Omega’s stretches. “Deal with it.” Omega stoically said as the edge of his lip curled up.

The trio arrive at a noodle place, a place the three of them tend to visit when they were students at the college. “Good old time~” Alpha said reminiscing about the painful time when they were trying to graduate, “I still remember the time the three of us graduated top of the class and celebrated here.” he said proudly before Omega scoffed with his usual monotonous voice “Really? I remember you panic about the exam the day before graduation and have to ask Thaleia for notes…. Even though it wasn’t even the same discipline.” Omega sighs remembering that time. “Hey that!-” Alpha protested but got stopped by Pneuma. “Aka…. Shush. You are being too loud, everyone is looking at us now!” quieting her partner as the trio observe the gazes that now cast on them, some were awe, some were jealousy, some were about to fangirl themselves into disturbing the entire shop. “Can we get a private room sir?” Omega raises his voice toward the owner before getting direct to somewhere more private. The night went on, with each of them drinking the night away after a satisfying dinner at the detriment of Pneuma pockets.

Alpha got himself drunk against the protest of Pneuma who tried to keep him away from all the booze. Omega’s sigh at the scene, softly chuckle at the scene playing right before his eyes. His once stoic gaze cast softly toward his friends hoping that they will never change. When everything is paid and dealt with, Pneuma and Omega help Alpha back toward the couple’s abode. Dropping Alpha with a thud onto the bed, he is now comfortably passed out asleep with the faint hope of not having a painful hangover. Omega excuses himself as he teleports away onto a familiar spot. A scenic view of the College of Vernith and the city that surrounds it. An image captured in a second of eternity reminding him of everything he wishes to protect amidst the breaking dawn of war. He sat calmly against the sturdy cliff that once eased his weary heart. A whoosh of dust blasted against his back, Omega continued to cast his gaze at the flickering light of the city. “You know…. It’s very unbecoming of a lady, no less getting married soon, to visit another person, under the influence, in the dead of night. Thaleia…” he softly said yet laced with his harsh criticism. Pneuma jolted in place “It could have just been a chance of wind. How did you even know?” She ponders the question at Omega with her eyes squinting hard judging the restful man. “You think of me so little that I can’t read the shiver of ether in the air matching your unique color?” he mockingly jokes at Pneuma. “I give up.” She protested with her hands raised in defeat, walking toward an empty spot right next to Omega, taking a seat on the dirt, legs curling up and her head on her knees. “As per usual, you always have a great spot to take a breather.” She praises Omega, but his demeanor still persists. “And as per usual, you break every single common sense one could have-” he casually responded with Pneuma giving a quick follow up again “Hey!” protesting against as she can feel the guilt stacking up inside feeling no sense of victory today for her. He gave a quick chuckle through his breath “Sorry.” He said, “So… Why come here?” Omega followed up with a question. Pneuma pondered on the question, her face reminisced  on various memories before shaking her head and shrug. “I don’t know. Somewhere calm and quiet to collect my thoughts. How’s the orphanage? I know you’ve been taking a big portion of your paycheck to donate.” She dodged the question as Omega picked it up quickly, shaking his head. “It is going well. Yours and Akakios presence has been a blessing to those kids. All I hope is that they will continue to strive with joy and love in their heart.” Omega softly repond. “Thanks.” The stoic man gives thanks to his dearest friends. Pneuma smiles “Always Glyky. What for the future… Do you know? With the war coming up, the council is having an uproar, we discover a portal to a different dimension….” she continues to question Omega, her worries bleeding out. “Your upcoming Ceremony and Celebration~” He added, “ I don’t know. We can only try our best. Refugees will be an all time high. My research is coming to a close… How about yours?” He continued to let his gaze cover the college and the starry skies, feeling his drowsiness catching up to him. “Yes~ Yes~ You are like my nagging dad, you know that? And I don’t know, the research is a science one afterall, magic can only come so far in that department. But!” she loudly claims, making Omega tilting his head from the noise “I believe I may have a breakthrough.” She proudly says, hiding her fear behind her words. Omega lies down, letting night carry his thoughts. “Yeah? I hope it will pan out well for you, Thaly.” he calmly said as his eyes closed a  little before getting partially annoyed at hearing his name being repeatedly called, and rose into a different scene about shouting at Pneuma but holding himself back quickly as he saw Oceris with her worried gaze. “Are you alright Da- Omega? You look terrible while asleep and you didn’t wake up when I called… multiple times…” Oceris panics with Omega softly smiling giving Oceris a pat on the head trying to ease her, “Thank you dear. It’s nothing but a dream.”
