“Listen honey- dear- Oceris, you can’t just suddenly bring home a kangaroo all the way back from their habitat like that” Glykerios said with an exasperated look while the edge of his lip curled upward, enjoying the image of a large kangaroo being held up by a smaller person and shaken slightly, trying to express her thoughts.
“But- Why not!?” Oceris retorted.
“Look… It has anxiety no-” before finishing his thought, he quickly turns his head with his expression going from stern to dead serious. With fury in his gaze and a mixture of dread, which slowly became impatient.
“No… Not yet! Fuck…” He cursed at the sky as an enormous mark stretched across the skies, breaking and ripping it wide open. Darkness looms over the entirety of Elysium. As all this happens, a black dot approaches the found family with great urgency.
Before Pale quickly landed to meet the two, Glykerios commanded Oceris begrudgingly, “Oceris! Quickly pack the important essentials! Use the port pads! Take the gear piece I made for you. It’s in my room, on the table. Meet me at the top. Now go!” He rushed, and without much question, she quickly disappeared into the tower. Pale landed onto the tower, noticing Glykerios raised a hand to halt any words Pale would have said and tell him to follow him into the workshop and get all the flight gears he made as a backup for a situation that would arise.
Passing it over to Pale, “Go and get everyone else. I’ll meet you all there as soon as possible. Now go,” he commanded, giving Pale a reassuring nod. Pale, without words, quickly flies away to get everyone he possibly can. While Omega comes to his own room, he notices the unique piece of gear he made is not there anymore. Breathed a calm sigh and grabbed his journal with all of his thoughts, instructions, studies, and notes. He goes to the top, seeing Oceris starting to equip the unique gear with all the enchantments and situational spells that would protect her. He quickly went and helped her.
“Are you ready?” He tries to reassure the little merling that he has been taking care of while he’s been here in Elysium, atoning his sins in his own twisted way. While Glykerios fixed up the remaining bolts and screws and cast a few more enchantments, Oceris answered, “Yeah. Will everything be okay?” she questions him now, taking in the atmosphere and the dreadful feeling that starts to corrode everything around them.
Bright purple suppression spell circle encapsulating the Corroding Storm that seeps through the crack in the skies. Each second a new spell circle encapsulates the storm, every other second another spell circle breaks. “We are taking a shortcut” Glykerios said as the surrounding magic crackled and tore the surrounding space. As scar marks slowly reveal themselves, scars Oceris had never seen before started to surface and glow. A spell circle starts to encircle the ground where they are currently all before wrapping them in a bubble, warping the space around them as he flings them together toward the position of the marble manor where Hemlock is suppressing the Witherstorm to the best of his abilities.
A few moments go by, as Oceris quickly helps any newly arrived to the escaping portal Hemlock has made. While Glykerios assists Hemlock in holding the dreaded storm with his own magic, fighting off any withering creature that approaches and preventing any effects of the storm itself from getting to Hemlock and the rest. At the final moment, where all hell breaks loose and Hemlock can’t bear the mass anymore, he ushers everyone to leave quickly.
Glykerios, in his intoxication of his own trauma and madness, said, “Oceris, I need you to go through the portal first.” He slowly said with a soft smile hiding his pain beneath the mask.
“No! I won’t! I must be here with you! You promise we will stick together!” She objected to the notion of separation. His words stung her heart, and it stabbed his own.
“And I promise you I will be back, but you must go… I will come after… I promise.” He stutters painfully. If he would allow himself to cry, tears would have struck him and let it flow.
“NO! I won’t let you be alone! You won’t leave me! No-” She retorted further, denying, and the scream of denial kept twisting Glykerios’s fragile heart. His somber smile slowly turned to a painful expression, spotting Ogonsky and with his weary heart.
“I beg of you, protect her for me.” Shivering with each word he said, tearing his soul apart, “I will be back. I got to you the first time by the storm, and by the same path I will be there. Oh my dear Oceris… So please… be safe. Go” he softly expresses his farewell disguise as a promise as he observes the little one getting picked up by a large bear and disappearing into the portal “Nooo-!”
